meister.NET and CaSSS Receive the 2002
'Standard of Excellence' Award

Phoenix, AZ – October 01, 2002.  meister.NET, a Communication Tools Firm, announced today that the Web Marketing Association (WMA), Inc., an organization devoted to setting a high standard for Internet marketing and corporate web site development, has honored California Separation Science Society (CaSSS) and meister.NET with the 2002 Standard of Excellence Award for its redesign of www.CaSSS.org.  Robert Meister, Principal of meister.NET will accept the award at Internet World on October 1, 2002 in New York City.

Recognized for its content, design and functionality, www.CaSSS.org is “Advancing Separation Science and Bioanalysis” by offering a wealth of information including The RetentionTimes® online, discussion groups, a calendar of events for scientific meetings and symposia, book and conference reviews, job postings and more.  Separation science is a field of scientific research, which covers the techniques and methodologies for the analysis, measurement and purification of components in complex mixtures. Separation science is applied in fields such as proteomics, genomics, clinical analysis, environmental determination of pollutants, process analysis in industry and many fields of biotechnology.

Over 1300 sites from around the world entered into the 2002 WebAwards competition. Entries were judged based on design, innovation, content, interactivity, navigation, ease of use, and use of technology.

Now in its sixth year, the WebAward Competition for website excellence is conducted by the Web Marketing Association, Inc. (WMA), an independent volunteer organization founded with the purpose of evaluating and recognizing and increasing the standard of excellence on the World Wide Web. Its website is located at www.webaward.org.  A team of independent Internet professionals representing the various relevant disciplines of Web site development judged the competition.
